Q1. Time signature, dynamics, articulation

You will hear a piece played twice. First identify the time signature, then describe the dynamics, then comment on the articulation

Part 1. Is the music in 2/4 time, 3/4 time, 4/4 time or 6/8 time?

Part 2.

It began mezzo piano and did a crescendo to the end.
It began fairly quietly and each phrase was louder, the third phrase being the loudest. If ended suddenly pianissimo.

Part 3.

It was often detached but there were also pairs of slurred legato notes.
It was half staccato and half legato.

Part 1.

It sounded like a ballroom dance in a very rhythmic way. The feel was straight rather than swing.
There were latin-American dance characteristics in the rhythm of the piece with lots of off-beat syncopations.

Part 2.

The style was 20th century even though the harmony was quite traditional except for the final chord which sounded jazzy.
The harmony sounded modal with jazz influences. The musical sounded Baroque in style and in the way it was played.
