By using up-to-date technology the site
(by
Prophecy Creative Limited) is sufficiently flexible
to be a resource for a wide range of teachers,
from those who are just starting out (and possibly
studying for teaching diplomas and qualifications),
to more experienced teachers who would value
having the information they would normally gather
from a range of sources in one place.
It is easy to access, navigate and explore and most
information can be found in two clicks ...
E-MusicMaestro will give you sufficient knowledge
and strategies to feel secure teaching most pupils
but will also save on the time usually spent Googling
various sites and sorting the useful from the useless.
...This unique site uses high-quality video
and audio examples along with a variety of
links and relevant PDF files, all within a quick
referencing system, to create a professional
e-community of expertise and creativity.
...very reasonable when I consider what
could be saved in time, books, music and
research material...
I can see that this website will enrich
individual teaching styles and secure teachers'
knowledge and preparation. It is an invaluable
tool for the new teacher, the more experienced
teacher and for any piano teacher striving for
professional excellence.

A website for piano teachers and pupils – what a good idea! With so much information now available electronically on any and every subject, it is surely time for this sort of resource to become available.
At first glance the site is attractively presented and easy to use. It presents a significant number of repertoire pieces included in ABRSM exams with background details and possible technical and music approaches … All areas are well researched with clear advice on both general and specific problems.
Overall an impressive site with authoritative background notes. The various elements of musical performance are clearly differentiated and specific advice for both teacher and pupil relevant and appropriate.
...A very worthwhile resource for the annual fee of £75.

"I have been teaching the piano in the Morecambe and Lancaster area for the past 16 years, both privately and, for the last 6 years, at the Lancaster Royal Grammar School.
This website is a god-send for me; it is clearly presented, easy to navigate and contains a wealth of knowledge and expertise that is invaluable. I have found the technical tips really helpful and the in-depth how-to’s for the later grades, in particular, extremely informative. With video to clips to back up the written text, it is like being permanently linked up to you own personal mentor. I can heartily recommend this site as it will enhance any tutor’s existing teaching and performing skills."
